This 1-day course, intended for those who have completed Introduction to CMMI for Development, introduces service providers, appraisal team members, and process group members to CMMI fundamental concepts related to service delivery. The CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) model defines effective practices that ensure quality services are delivered to customers and end users. Examples of services that benefit from the application of CMMI-SVC include maintenance, operations, logistics, and IT. Completing Introduction to CMMI for Development along with this course fulfills the prerequisite for any course requiring Introduction to CMMI for Services V1.2 as well as for being a lead appraiser, team leader, or team member on a SCAMPI appraisal using the CMMI-SVC model.

Participants receive:

  • CMMI for Services: Guidelines for Superior Service
  • Course Materials and Handouts

Acquisition Supplement for CMMI for Development

This one-day course introduces acquisition managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and process group (e.g., SEPG, EPG) members to CMMI fundamental concepts related to acquisition. CMMI for Acquisition (CMMI-ACQ) is a CMMI model designed for use in managing a supply chain by those who acquire, procure, or otherwise select and purchase products and services for business purposes. Completing Introduction to CMMI for Development along with this course fulfills the prerequisite for being a lead appraiser, team leader, or team member on a SCAMPI appraisal using the CMMI-ACQ model.

SCAMPI Appraisal Team Training

Oppenheimer Partners usually provides Appraisal Team Training in conjunction with a particular SCAMPI Appraisal, rather than as a standalone course. Prior to the appraisal on-site interval, we provide a 4-6 hour session of appraisal team training to allocated and alternate appraisal team members, as well as local appraisal participants and any other organization members who would benefit from a more thorough understanding of the SCAMPI methodologies and their application in the current appraisal. Additional team training is provided as needed throughout the appraisal itself.

However, organizations that are scheduling a large number of appraisals may choose to establish a pool of trained appraisal team members to limit the amount of time required in training for each individual appraisal. To meet this need, Oppenheimer Partners can also deliver a 1 to 2-day course that introduces potential appraisal team members to the concepts and details of the SCAMPI methodology. After attending the appropriate 3-day Introduction to CMMI course and this training, participants will qualify as potential SCAMPI Appraisal Team Members.
